“A” Schedule-Test Day 2

ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT

Please excuse the swim team at 1:55 today for an away meet.

 

Anyone interested in playing a spring sport, please be aware that ALL paperwork is due on February 27^th and will NOT be accepted after that date, as tryouts start on March 5^th.  Please plan to hand it in prior to mid-winter break if possible, to assure you will be eligible for tryouts.  Any paperwork handed in AFTER February 27^th means you will have to sit at least one day of tryouts.  If you have any questions about what you need to turn in, please see Ms. Vicari in the athletic training office.

 

There will be an important meeting for anyone planning on playing softball this year on Wednesday, February 1 at 2:30 in the religion center.

 

The softball clinic for any interested players will run February 13, 14, 15, and 16 in the gym from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  See you there!

 

ENGLISH DEPARTMENT

 

The tests for Honors English 2 & AP English in Junior & Senior year will be administered during English classes on Wednesday Feb. 1, 2012. You need a teacher recommendation in order to take the placement test—forms are available outside the English Center. Any questions see Mrs. Hoffman.

 

ALL OTHER BUSINESS

 

ART HISTORY

Students interested in taking AP Art History next year should stop by the English/Art table during Course Verification on February 8th to sign up for the placement test that will be given during lunches on February 11th.  A packet of reading materials necessary to review before the placement test will be available at Course Verification. Any questions, please consult Mrs. Hoffman or Miss Cervino.

 

CHEM CLUB

The next Chem Club Meeting will be held on Monday, February 6^th at 2:30. It is the ‘Smore lab. In order to participate, Mrs. Quinn must receive $1.00 by February 1^st to cover the cost of materials.

There will be an Australia Trip meeting Today, Jan 26^th during the activity period in Room 2. All interested students should attend the meeting. This trip is open to all grades! This is our “LAST CALL” for all interested participants.  Please see Mrs. Kasperski if you have any questions. Juniors, since you will not be able to attend this meeting please see Mrs. Kasperski in Room 37.

The Chem Club is having a trip to the Philadelphia Museum of Modern Art on Wed., Feb.15 to study the chemistry and reactivity of metals. The cost of the trip is $15. and is limited to 30 students who must be  Chem Club members. Reservations will be made after payment to Mrs. Quinn on a first come, first serve basis.

 

The next Chem Club Meeting will be held on Monday, February 6^th at 2:30. It is the ‘Smore lab. In order to participate, Mrs. Quinn must receive $1.00 by February 1^st to cover the cost of materials.

ALL TOWNSHIPS HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED AND WILL PROVIDE 2 PM

transportation for anyone unable to get an earlier ride home.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO BE OUTSIDE BEFORE 2PM.

IF YOU MISS THE BUS IT IS NOT COMING BACK.

 

Township bussing students are reminded that there will be NO “Late Activity” busses offered NEXT week due to EXAMS.

 

STUDENTS RIDING SEPTA ARE REMINDED TO CHECK TIME SCHEDULES.
